The Magical Journey of the New England Polar Express

Polar Express North Conway The Polar Express Event of New England is a magical journey to the North Pole through the snowcapped White Mountains of New Hampshire. This unique, interactive 2 hour train ride departs from Hobo Railroad in Lincoln and Conway Scenic Railroad in North Conway and takes you on a memorable and winding journey to the North Pole Theatre.

While children are nestled in their pajamas with hot chocolate and cookies in hand, they are transported to a land of magic and mystery filled with the spirit of Christmas. Leaf Peeping in the White Mountains

With temperatures changing and autumn coming early, the peak season occurs in early October. There are several routes around the North Conway area that are sure to showcase the scenic colors of the season.

Kancamagus Highway
The Kancamagus Highway is one of the best routes to enjoy the beauty of the season. This 34 mile stretch through Northern New Hampshire connects Lincoln and Conway. Known as an American Scenic Byway, “The Kanc” is rich with beauty, history and culture.

This route winds through the White Mountain National Forest and offers scenic views of the mountains, valleys,  Swift River, Sabbaday Falls and Rocky Gorge. There is a reason the Kancamagus Highway is known for some of the best fall foliage in the country.

Franconia Notch
If you prefer a route less off the beaten trail, I-93 to Franconia Notch may be the perfect choice. Located in the heart of the White Mountains, this mountain pass extends from Flume Gorge to Echo Lake. This 8 mile path of I-93 winds between the high peaks of the Kinsman and Franconia mountain ranges.
