The North Conway area of New Hampshire is perfectly situated in the heart of great snowmobiling country. New Hampshire has almost 7,000 miles of snowmobile trails, from routes through national parks and public lands to those that wind through various public and private lands thanks to arrangements made by local snowmobile clubs. With the picturesque White Mountains all around and well-mapped routes that will take you in and out of little hamlets, through the wilderness, and even right up to the Canadian border, you could spend a lifetime exploring. If all you have is a winter vacation, there are plenty of options right by the Green Granite.

The closest to the Inn is the lovely Corridor 19 trail, maintained by the Ossipee Valley Snow Mobile Club. It connects to several other trails and trail systems. As the OSVSMC explains on their website, "The OVSC trail system travels across Rte 16 from White Lake State Park (at Canoe King) to the North and South on Corridor 19. South on 19 to Polly’s Crossing thru Ossipee village on the historic rail bed and connects to the Seven Lakes SMC area and the Wolfeboro club trails. To the North on Corridor 19 to the intersection at the Kancamaugus Highway and the Mountain Meadows Riders Trails." Corridor 19 corridor can also take you to a spectacular two mile climb up Black Cap Mountain where there is an unbeatable view at 2100 feet up.

About 10 minutes from the Green Granite is Northwestern Extremes snowmobile rentals. They sell maps and offer guided tours that are great whether you're a beginner or simply want to be introduced to the locals' favorite trails. Lil' Man Snowmobile Rentals is a little further away-- about 30 minutes, but right in the White Mountain National Forest. For those bringing their own snowmobiles, the New Hampshire Snowmobile Association has a great brochure online and in print that shows the network of Corridor and Primary trails statewide, though it is not as detailed as some local maps will be.

In addition to Corridor 19, the Bear Notch system is a short drive away, as is Route 230. Bear Notch is closed loop with some branch trails that is well recommended for beginners and intermediate snowmobilers, with many parts converted from old cross country routes. Like most New Hampshire snowmobile trails, Bear Notch opens up to other networks. From there you can leave the closed loop and explore the many many miles that twist around the White Mountain National Forest.

No matter where you choose to snowmobile, the Green Granite Inn is conveniently located for both outdoor adventures and creature comforts. After a day cruising the countryside, you can be confident there is somewhere warm, comfortable, and inviting to return to. Near trailheads and rental outfits as well as across the street from the Blackcap Grille and minutes from shopping, other eateries, and plenty of attractions, it's the perfect balance.

The Science of Facebook Whether you welcome our new way of socializing with open arms or find yourself cursing under your breath every time you have to un-tag yourself in an unattractive whisky-induced photo from online coach factory outlet a recent trip, it’s indisputable that Facebook is our overlord. With its hefty IPO boost of 25%, along with GM dropping its $10 million advertising campaign, believing it created little to no impact on its target consumers, it is incredible how much money is being thrown around in this virtual hangout. Thenextweb.com estimates the average Facebook user to be worth approximately $121 to the conglomerates who are itching to have their advertising pop up on your newsfeed.Yes, your inebriated musings, the photo gallery of 102 photos of your dog swimming in a pool, the heartfelt open letter to friends you wrote after you broke up with your college sweetheart are all apparently worth $121. With users spending a collective 700 billion minutes a month on Facebook, it’s no surprise that this interaction coach factory is being closely scrutinized and studied by researchers who aim to expose how this site is altering our social lives, personalities and reactions to social norms. Not only are researchers finding unanticipated effects of long-term use of the site, studies have also exposed interesting patterns occurring in profiles. So how exactly has Facebook changed us? More Online Friends, More Brain Cells While you may think that having a high friend count on Facebook would be a red flag for desolate individuals who feel inadequate with their number of real-life acquaintances, a study conducted at University College London found that users with the highest number of online contacts have more gray matter in brain regions associated with social skills. Lead professor Geraint Rees coach factory outlet agrees that in our modern world, “social networks are ubiquitous in human society,” and with that acceptance comes an interesting query. “In contemporary societies with online social networks, do people use them (social skills) in the same way or are they enabling a completely different type of communication and interaction that was never before possible?” To further research this question, his team carried out MRI scans on 165 male and female subjects who answered questions about how many friends they had on Facebook and in real life. The study found that subjects with a higher online friend count also had greater gray matter density in three separate brain regions: the superior temporal sulcus and the middle temporal gyrus, two brain regions which have in the past been linked to the ability to perceive social cues from facial expressions, and the entorhinal cortex, a region linked to memory coach factory of face recognition and names. While his findings are interesting, at this point it is impossible to tell if the gray matter is actually related to a different kind of social skill. "The interesting question left unanswered is whether this is set in stone and those bits of your brain are hard-wired and determined by your genes, or whether if you bring people up in the right kind of social environment, those bits of the brain grow and therefore the number of people they can maintain as friends in adulthood increases." This study is one of many that intend to open the floodgates for future research into how exactly this new way of interaction is changing our minds, and hope to introduce enough interesting findings for further research to elaborate on. Women Who Base Their Self-Worth on Appearance Have More Friends and Photo GalleriesWe all know at least a few women who are serial Facebook frienders. This woman is probably also the one who wakes up the morning after a party to plug in her camera and upload any photos she hadn’t posted the previous night and has them tagged and liked, all before you even dream of dragging yourself out of bed to shower. According to a new study published in the journal Cyberpsychology, Behavior, and Social Networking, researcher Michael A. Stefanone found that there is indeed a reason why some women act this way on Facebook: it’s because they base their self-worth on their appearance. In a study conducted to measure 311 participants’ (both male and female) online behaviors and self-esteem, researchers found that “those whose self-esteem is based on public-based contingencies (defined here as others' approval, physical appearance and outdoing others in competition) were more involved in online photo sharing, and those whose self-worth is most contingent on appearance have a higher intensity of online photo sharing.” While it may sound very dated to cheap coach factory backpacks say that women base their self-esteem on how others perceive them, head researcher Stefanone was also discouraged. "It is disappointing to me that in the year 2011 so many young women continue to assert their self-worth via their physical appearance — in this case, by posting photos of themselves on Facebook as a form of advertisement. Perhaps this reflects the distorted value pegged to women's looks throughout the popular culture and in reality programming from 'The Bachelor' to 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians.'"Your Facebook Photo Predicts Your Happiness It may make you feel self-demeaning to coach backpacks go back and check this theory for yourself, but a recent study published in the journal Social Psychological and Personality Science shows that the smile intensity from a single profile picture today can predict how satisfied that person will be with their life four years into the future. Through two studies, psychologists found that men and women who smiled with the most intensity in their profile photos during their first semester at college later testified to being more satisfied with their lives than those who did not smile. The same students with the most intense smiles reported high levels of satisfaction during their last semester of college a whole 3.5 years later. The cowriters believe these findings are for the most part remarkable since the findings are based on informal photos, as opposed to earlier research conducted with formal portraits from, say, college yearbooks. The psychologists believe that this research is “a sizable — and long overdue — step forward in the quest to understand whether and why affective displays in publicly shared photographs can predict future well-being.” While the correlation between one’s smile and the outcome of one’s life is still unclear, researchers believe that it’s likely that the natural smile on Facebook signals a person’s personality traits in real life.
The Dream Team takes on LeBron, Kobe and the rest of the 2012 Olympic basketball team. Little has been said about the propensity of a few to indulge in a Jamesian addiction to basketball; that is, the obsessive scribbling of numbers on a piece of paper to determine a player’s worth. Basketball, by and large, is a simple game not yet open to the notion that a player’s ability might have more to do with what he can do, what he has done, than what he can’t. The sabermetric approach, now championed by a handful of young baseball GMs seeking, in the eyes of their elders, to cannibalize the corporate culture, is relatively new and has not yet reached the hardcourt. Here, we still see fit to speak in vacuities, in an incomprehensible tongue. “He’s got a good body, a good build, a smooth stroke. He’s long,” and any number of other unquantifiable words we feel comfortable attributing to Coach factory outlet online an All-star to gauge his statistical future. It’s an in-house language, an inarticulate measurement of intangibles many of us still believe govern the game. If he’s got a good body, a good build and a smooth stroke, well, he must be good.Which is why it comes as no surprise that half the world weighed in with catchphrases and buzzwords when Kobe opened his mouth and uttered what amounts to blasphemy in the eyes of basketball fans. The thought that the 2012 Olympic team could beat the 1992 Dream Team is considered by most to be a stretch and by others to be pure hokum, an all-out egotistical fantasy. The Dream Team, with the likes of Jordan, Ewing, Barkley and Magic, all in their primes, is considered to be the upper echelon of ability, an ultimate pantheon of players and the last stop for talent. Any ragtag group assembled afterwards could only ever be second best.Which, given the surface stats, the five fun columns so often quoted by the half-bright yes men connected to little wires that run the world, seems to be true.In the season leading up to the Olympics, the Dream Team passed the ball better, stole the ball better and blocked the ball better. They pulled down more boards, controlled more possessions and so, naturally, they scored more points. What we hear, what we’re told, is that they were “bigger,” which is certainly true; they had two true seven-footers who averaged more than 11 rebounds a game and two more guys over 6’9” who did the same. Ewing and Robinson also averaged a combined 7.5 blocks per game.We hear they were “smarter,” basketball brains with a high hoops IQ. Okay; Johnson and Stockton averaged 26.2 assists per game between them and five members of the Dream Team averaged more than two steals per 48. Hell, Stockton averaged 3.0.And we hear they had Jordan, His Airness, a mystical, magical being whose physical abilities transcended whatever nonsense you might find in a box score (which, for the record, had him averaging .519 shooting from the field in 1991-92 and a ridiculous 32.6 points per game). But the most intriguing number we hear, the one that we as gambling people are most concerned with, is eight, or the spread out of Vegas for the Dream Team over today’s. Eight is a whole handful of points in a basketball game, and still people are taking, nine times out of ten, the Dream Team minus eight and feeling comfortable giving 12 or 15 and sometimes 24.The truth is we wouldn’t, or rather we shouldn’t, go any higher than three, and that truth is, as it always is and always has been, is found in the numbers.A 50-point discrepancy in the 3P% is what stands out here; in the seasons leading up to their respective Olympic games, the Dream Team drained a combined average of 7.4 threes a game while the 2012 team managed 14.8, exactly 200 percent more and a difference of 22.2 points coach factory online per game.So what? The Dream Team still outplayed them in every other facet of the game. True enough, except in the one area which matters most: buckets or baskets or whatever Coach factory outlet online you’d like to call them. Points.Truth be told, the efficiency ratings, the advanced stats that actually measure on-court performance as opposed to off-court paychecks and poster boards, show that these two teams are not far off in their ability to do what they need to do best: score points. Two points separating True Shooting percentage, four points separating Effective Field Goal percentage. A point difference in favor of the 2012 squad when it comes to their defensive rating (dispelling what has become the mainstay argument of ’92ers that the Dream Team was defensively superior) and though the Dream Team averaged a higher PER as a team, the starting five of 2012 edges the ’92 starters by five points, their top six players by seven and their top eight by eight. What we’re seeing is that the difference in shots dropping between 1992 and 2012 is minimal except that the 2012 team might take, and make, twice as many three-pointers. The question then becomes, does the sheer volume of free throws and inside-the-arc field goals accumulated by the Dream Team make up that supposed 22.2-point difference? We’ll admit it gets a little hairy here. For starters, these season averages suppose every coach factory outlet player is playing their normal star-like regular season minutes. It also supposes that both teams take the exact same number and type of shots and sink them as their averages suggest they would. The first problem is unsolvable; had we the actual minutes from the upcoming Olympics we might be able to make some comparative inroads. The second problem, however, can be accounted for by weighing both teams’ total attempts from the season with their averages and comparing the two. Granted, a flight of statistical fancy is required, but if you’ll permit me:Let’s say every player on the team, save the two college outliers (Christian Laettner and Anthony Davis) play their regular NBA minutes and shoot their regular NBA averages. In 2PA alone, the Dream Team scores 180 points and adds 40 at the line.Dream Team: 220, Today’s Team: 0In two pointers, the 2012 team accumulates 156 points plus 37 at the line bringing the score before three pointers to:Dream Team: 220, Today’s Team: 193Over the course of the ’92 season, the Dream Team averaged 15 three point attempts per game Coach factory outlet and shot .273 from beyond the arc, bringing their likely tre total to measly 12 points in the game. The 2012 team, shooting .323 and averaging 37 3PAs a game, amasses 36 points in threes bringing the final score to: Dream Team: 232, Today’s Team: 229We’ll shave a point or two for the +1 defensive rating and here we are, falling within the margin of error and beating our own three point spread...Not that we’re high and coach factory online outlet mighty enough to pretend that a one-off, 48-minute game between the Dream Team and 2012 Olympic roster would yield such an ungodly score of 231-229, but it’s nice to think we’ve done more than cue up the chrous: "they’re bigger, better, faster, stronger."
Q&A with SNL's Bill Hader Millions fantasize about becoming an SNL cast member, but only a handful get to live their dream. Some of the biggest names in comedy have come out of the SNL cast since its beginning in 1975. Although we’ve said farewell to two of the big names of the SNL cast this year, Kristen Wiig and Andy Samberg, megastar Bill Hader will be coming back for another season, which means more spot-on impressions, more recurring characters and a lot more hot-spot highlights courtesy of Stefon. Before heading to the Great White North to host a Just for Laughs gala, we called him at his home to talk about what it’s like to be one of the nicest guys in showbiz.Playboy.com: So you’ll be heading down to Montreal for the Just for Laughs comedy festival. Were you ever part of the stand-up scene?Hader: I wasn’t brave enough to do stand-up; I needed people up there with me. I was part of a little scene in L.A.; there were a couple of shows in L.A. in 2003-2004 run by Scott Aukerman, who now does Comedy Bang! Bang! on IFC, he and his wife Kulap. So Scott had a show called Comedy Death-Ray which was kind of the holy grail of comedy shows.Playboy.com: I didn’t realize you were part of that!Hader: If you lived in L.A. and you were in comedy, you wanted to get on Comedy Death-Ray. That’s where Patton Oswalt, Zach Galifianakis and all of those cool people did their shows. Kulap had this interesting cabaret-like show called Garage Comedy, which was like a step system. I would finally get on Garage Comedy and do something with my sketch group or go up there and do Vinny Vedecci, and then Scott would come up and say, “Hey, that was funny, do you want to do my show?” and you would go “OH MY GOD!!”Playboy.com: Now that you’re on SNL, is it strange being synonymous with characters that everyone expects you to do? How do you deal with Bart Simpson “I Didn’t herve leger dresses Do It” syndrome?Hader: I think for certain people it gets old after a while, but to me it’s just crazy that people like me! I am a fan as much as anybody else, you know what I mean? I went to Game Two of the Oklahoma City Thunder game with my dad and they put me up on the JumboTron; that feeling was insane. I turned to my dad and said, “Did you imagine when I was growing up watching the finals, they would one day come to me?” It was insane. So to me it’s just cool. I’m very appreciative of it.Playboy.com: You seem to be in almost everything lately. Where do you find the time between being a dad, husband, SNL castmate and A-list celebrity to do videos online with friends?Hader: I have a really good manager and a really good agent. [laughs] I’m very lucky that I have a wife that also does this. She just directed the movie The To Do List; I’m straight-up lazy compared to her. She works all the time on her movie; she essentially willed it into being. It’s so funny; I’ve done a couple of interviews today and they say, “GOSH you do so much stuff, where do you find the time!” and I’m like, “I do? I feel like such a lazy bastard!” [laughs] But it can get exhausting, especially traveling. Like you say, I have a family and all of that, so you got to pace yourself a little more. When I first started the show, my wife and I got married and then I was just like, “BYE!” She was working on a project in L.A. and I was in Vancouver shooting Hot Rod, then immediately back to SNL and then I was doing Superbad and SNL concurrently and then the minute after SNL was done I did Forgetting Sarah Marshall and then the minute that was done I did Adventureland and then when that was done I did Tropic Thunder…So there were a couple of years that I was getting socked. Once I had a kid I had to chill out. A couple of summers ago I called everyone and said, “Nope, I’m not doing anything this summer!”Playboy.com: Through the short videos I see online, it seems like you work with so many different groups of people in the comedy community through Above Average Network. I see herve leger dresses some people from Human Giant herve leger dress and then the guys from Wet Hot American Summer…What is the comedy scene like right now?Hader: I think it’s very healthy! I think what Louis C.K. is doing right now is groundbreaking. Coach factory outlet online It’s the first thing that I’ve seen in my time that could be close to how people talk about Lenny Bruce or Richard Pryor. It’s just truly groundbreaking stuff, not just his comedy, the business end of it as well. I love Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm, South Park I love, not because I won an Emmy for it, but because I think those guys are geniuses. There are all of these great shows out there. My wife and I love to watch Girls too; Lena Dunham is great. And network comedy: Community, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock…Playboy.com: It’s a pretty solid lineup right now on NBC.Hader: Yeah, there are cool people involved with a lot right now. Ten years ago all of the underground people worked their way into more of the established things but were still able to fuse it with where they came from. I love that David Wain is now directing big studio movies. When Wet Hot American Summer came out in 2001, I must have seen that movie 10 times in theatres. coach factory outlet It’s so neat to see that so many of the people involved in that movie are now huge. It’s a very seminal movie. It’s like the American Graffiti of our generation. You can kind of track it all back to it.Playboy.com: Is there a reason why you haven’t hopped on the social media bandwagon?Hader: Believe it or not, I’m a very private person. [laughs] It’s not so much a private thing, it’s just I don’t know what I’d say, I don’t know what to do. Maybe if I wasn’t on television and maybe if I was doing the same thing I was doing in 2004 when I was an assistant editor at night, so during the day I could write comedy with friends and then on the weekends break away from my job to go do little sets here and there with my comedy group, maybe I would go on Twitter to use it as an advertising thing. But I am not the kind of person to use it. When I sit down to do a mass e-mail that just says “Merry Christmas” I pore over it for hours: “Is that funny? Is that a funny joke? Hey, do you get that joke?” I can’t be a person that fires off tweets; I’m just not built that way.Playboy.com: You’ve worked with a lot of big names in comedy on Saturday Night Live. Has there been anyone in particular that was just incredible?Hader: Jon Hamm is a lot of fun, he gets it, and when Will Ferrell came it was just fun at the table read to watch. Steve Martin, obviously. But I have to tell you about this. It isn’t really about working with anybody, but I had a really cool moment. My mom came to the show; she’s from Oklahoma and coming was crazy for her in itself. Then Martin Short came up and gave me this really nice compliment. He said, “You’re really good on the show!” Which kind of blew my herve leger dresses mind and my mom couldn’t believe it.The other thing was when we did a Laser Cats bit with Steven Spielberg. Growing up, Steven Spielberg was my hero. I wanted to be a filmmaker and he was a huge inspiration in my life so getting to meet him and getting to be in a scene with him was…Usually those are the kind of things that you try to play it cool, but I was like, “Screw this, I’m going to be a full-on dork. This is the only time I’m ever going to get to hang with him.” And Andy Samberg was like, “Bill, I’m not going to say a word. I’m just going to set you up so you can do your thing.” I was flipping out. So [in between takes] Spielberg and Andy let me ask him every question possible. He was the nicest guy but I’m sure he was like, “I gotta get out of here, this guy is hounding me!”In all honesty, it’s not so much working with the big names that’s crazy, but it’s what happens on the show. I got to play the bass in a sketch where Fred Armisen and Dave Grohl were in a band called Crisis of Conformity. So I got to play the bass, which I can’t do at all, and have my moment and Dave Grohl was on drums. So that was [one of] the coolest things I’ve ever got to do in my life.
Vintage Thunder By Ken http://beautifulcoachbackpacks2t.webs.com/ Gross / Illustrations by Etienne CarignanAs the saying goes, you only go around once. So you might as well go in style—at speed in the car of your dreams. Judging by the high-flying bids at RM, Gooding & Company and Barrett-Jackson’s recent auctions, when it comes to smart investing the vintage car market has outperformed many blue-chip stocks in recent years. What would you rather own, anyway, a certificate from General Electric or a 1964 Shelby Cobra, Wimbledon white with blue racing stripes? All of these mid-century classics in the playboy fantasy garage top 40 years of age, yet they offer performance, looks and road-handling agility. There are no sophisticated electronics, air bags or antilock brakes. These cars will test your mettle. For $55,000 to 100 grand—and more coach backpacks outlet for one special splurge (the BMW below)—you’ll get an appreciating asset. Travel back to an era when sports and muscle cars were honest, visceral and guaranteed to turn heads. This BMW’s proud front wings sweep rearward with the dash of a destroyer’s hull. Arguably more a boulevardier than a serious race-bred sports car, the 507 was designed by an independent consultant, Count Albrecht Goertz (who penned the Datsun 240Z) and was offered in limited numbers for just three years. Its competition was the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. With just 254 units produced, the 507 was rarer than the Gullwing, then and now. Its pushrod 3.2-liter V8 (up to 165 bhp) was the first production V8 with an aluminum block and heads. At a then lofty $9,000, the 507 was double the price of a contemporary Cadillac and more expensive than a Gullwing. BMW’s advertising for the car showed a gentleman in a white dinner jacket inviting an elegant woman to go for a spin. It made no mention of the fact that this sleek roadster could nip at 140 mph. Today, 56 years after the 507’s debut, the car’s slim silhouette, cinched waist, arced fenders and dramatically raked windscreen all spell elegance and adventure. It’s estimated that 240 BMW 507s exist today. Hit the lottery and the price tag ($720,000 to $900,000) will seem like a bargain for one of motoring’s immortals. The E-Type (called the XKE in North America) catapulted Britain’s Jaguar into the modern era. It appeared just before the Beatles; one might say it launched the British invasion. Toiling in the precomputer era, British aerodynamicist Malcolm Sayer painstakingly devised the thousands of mathematical calculations necessary to model the E-Type’s 150 mph shape. At the time, Car coach backpacks and Driver called it “the car we’d most like to own of any we’ve tested.” With a stiletto-like silhouette, it had specifications to match, such as fully independent suspension, a tightly drawn monocoque body shell and a snarling 265 bhp, three-carburetor, twin-cam 3.8-liter six-cylinder, paired with a four-speed manual and disc brakes adapted from Jaguar’s Le Mans–winning D-Type. Sure-footed and tractable, the E-Type hammered contemporary rivals and rocketed Jag from an “interesting” specialist sports-car purveyor to world-class competitor. The best, simplest and most beautiful E-Type was the Series 1. Just $5,900 new, a decent coupe will run you $65,000 and up today. Add $25,000 to $30,000 for the convertible. Jaguar has never built a better-looking model. When Pontiac’s rising star John DeLorean shoehorned a 389-cid V8 into a lowly Tempest, ignoring GM’s edict on engine displacement in midsize cars (330 cid was tops), the muscle car was born. The GTO appeared in 1964—the same year as the Ford Mustang. With its 325 bhp engine and four-barrel carburetor, the GTO started at around $3,000 and came as a hardtop, sports coupe or convertible. After testers blazed a 4.6-second zero to 60 in a juked-up Bobcat GTO, sales spiked. Today, tri-power first-year GTO hardtops go for $60,000 to $75,000. Watch out: Not all of them were heavily optioned road racers. Counterfeiters often add the good stuff; an original bill of sale is key.Chevrolet introduced its cult-favorite Nomad—a two-door wagon on a Bel Air platform—in January 1954 at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria hotel. By 1957, for about $3,500, you could order a Nomad with all of Chevy’s go-fast goodies, such as a 283-cid fuel-injected V8 and a close-ratio three-speed manual. The engine’s 283 bhp marked the first time an American over-the-counter power plant offered one horsepower per cubic inch. Management decided to emasculate the Nomad in 1958, making it a four-door. Bad news for enthusiasts, good news for collectors. Expect to drop about $100,500 for a “fuelie” two-door. Throw your surfboard in the back and head for the beach.Curvaceous and catlike, Ferrari’s diminutive Dino 246 GT never came with a Ferrari badge. Named for Enzo Ferrari’s late son, it was sold through Ferrari dealers and advertised as “almost a Ferrari.” The car cut a dashing figure on ABC’s 1971–1972 show The Persuaders! as the hip ride of international playboy Danny Wilde (Tony Curtis). At the time, it was revolutionary thanks to a transversely mid-mounted 195 bhp four-cam 2.4-liter V6, with three Weber carburetors, a five-speed all-synchromesh gearbox…the list goes on. It came in two versions: a GT coupe and a GTS convertible with a lift-off “Targa top.” The coupe (originally $14,500) is by far the prettier, with a beautifully curved roofline and flying-buttress rear corners. Figure on $100,000 for a GT, 50 percent more for a GTS. Either way, you have the essence of a 1960s Ferrari in a delightful package.Chevrolet launched the first Corvette Sting Ray for 1963. Its fuel-injected V8 transformed coach backpacks a boulevard cruiser into a tiger and coach factory online confirmed the Corvette’s status as a world-class sports car contender. The Sting Ray’s coach backpacks rivalry with the Shelby Cobra, which appeared the same year, is heralded as one of the most exciting in American racing history. The unique rear window, divided by a sculpted rib, lasted one year, which is why this Vette is so sought after. Split-window coupes with a 327-cid 300 bhp engine were $4,500 new. You can get one for $55,000 to $77,000 today. If you forgo the split window, Sting Rays from 1964 and later represent great value with upside potential.
